Doomed Planet

“Today’s debate about global warming is essentially a debate about freedom. The environmentalists would like to mastermind each and every possible (and impossible) aspect of our lives.”

The King Has Got No Clothes

by Dennis Boothby

Dennis Boothby rocks away the climate blues:

Introduction

We once told all our youngsters, tales in bed late at night

Of devils and boogie man monsters, to make them be good from fright

But now there’s one so scary, it’s made the whole world go quiet

And this one is no fairy story, we see it on TV each night, every night.

Verse 1

Beware global warming, the world is going to fry

There’ll be droughts and storms and the rivers will run dry.

Chorus

Ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh, A cold wind blows, THE KING HAS GOT NO CLOTHES

Verse 2

Coral reefs are dying, jungles turning brown

Polar bears are trying, real hard not to drown

Chorus

Ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh, A cold wind blows, THE KING HAS GOT NO CLOTHES

Bridge 1

Humans must do penance, to the green gods pray

And they said the sentence will be no more cars and go back to your caves

Verse3

Beware global warming, we’re close to tipping point [Look out the sky is falling]

The poles will soon start thawing, and seas begin to boil [We’ve had our final warning]

Chorus

Ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh, A cold wind blows, THE KING HAS GOT NO CLOTHES

Bridge 2

Every generation, has its doomsday scares

Sad to say emission trading only makes new shonky millionaires.

Verse 4

Beware global warming, it’s now called climate change [The earth is overheating]

Our planet’s now in mourning, and humans are to blame [You’d better all stop breathing]

Chorus

Ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh, A cold wind blows, THE KING HAS GOT NO CLOTHES

Ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh, A cold wind blows, THE KING HAS GOT NO CLOTHES

Ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh, A cold wind blows, THE KING HAS GOT NO CLOTHES
