begins the long slow slide
to ground, with time to measure
before found, a low horizon,
another’s willingness to be of service.
Hello the one way life,
hello the hill where Jack and Jill
came down
and London Bridge to water,
Humpty with his broken crown
which all Kings’ men and horses
could not mend.
Gravity begins
the change of role
to someone else
for looking after self,
to sate a tyrant body
that once could fly
once perfect for the task
now sadly
taken
from its height.
