Six haiku

 fading music—

the ocean curves around
our feet

 

 

crossed out days—

our sunflowers end up
as bird seed

 

 

night holding
one star to the next—

Mom’s 80th birthday

 

 

steady daylight—

more snowflakes finding places
others missed

 

 

not as far
as the wind goes—

signs with the name of our destination

 

 

more windows
than home—
